This page vs the other reads
Notion Plus vs Business is the step under this one. What Plus still limits, and when Business earns that step. SAML sign-in, private teamspaces, and a 90-day history are already on that step. This page starts after that yes.
Notion pricing explained is the four-plan map. Notion annual vs monthly is the billing cycle. Notion Free vs Plus is the first paid step. This page walks Business against Enterprise, and stops.
Notion vs Airtable is which object you keep. Notion vs Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda) is a workspace of pages versus one living doc. Notion alternatives is stay or leave. This page starts after Notion is the product and the plan is the question.
When Notion automations are enough is Notion’s automation ceiling. On this read, Business and Enterprise both print “Same as plus” on that row.
This page is the Business vs Enterprise step. When the Business card is enough. When audit, provisioning, or the next data-control row earns a sales conversation. The Business price is quoted. Enterprise prints Custom pricing.
What Business still covers
These lines are the Business card and the Business column on Notion — pricing, accessed 2026-10-20. The page language was English (US). The currency control said Price in USD. On first load, Pay yearly was the checked control, at 16:20 America/Vancouver. The window was 1044px. Pay monthly is the other control, checked at 16:21 America/Vancouver. The limit words below did not change. The dollar in the Business heading did.
For growing businesses to streamline teamwork.
The Business card says “Everything in Plus, and:” and then lists Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search with a Beta mark, SAML SSO, granular database permissions, verify any page, private teamspaces, domain verification, and premium connections. Business is listed at $20 per seat/month on the pricing page, last re-read on 2026-10-29. Check which billing control shows that price. Those are the Business lines this page holds still. The cells Enterprise moves are in the next section.
On the grid, Business page history is 90 days. Data retention is 30 day retention. SAML single sign-on, private teamspaces, granular database permissions, verify any page, workspace PDF export, and priority support are a check mark. User provisioning (SCIM), the audit log, Domain Management, and workspace analytics are empty.
Stay on Business when 90 days of history, SAML SSO, private teamspaces, granular database permissions, premium connections, domain verification, and priority support cover the work. What Plus gives, and when Business earned that step, is on Notion Plus vs Business.
What Enterprise adds
Read a row only where the pricing page printed a difference between Business and Enterprise. A blank on the 2026-10-20 read stays —. A check mark with no words is a mark, not a sentence. Both billing controls were checked. These limit words did not change. Enterprise has no public per-seat dollar.
For organizations to operate with scalability, control, and security.
The Enterprise card says “Everything in Business, and:” and then lists zero data retention with LLM providers, user provisioning (SCIM), advanced security and controls, an audit log, a customer success manager, Security and Compliance connections (DLP, SIEM), domain management, advanced connections, and Custom Agents. On Pay yearly and on Pay monthly the card prints Custom pricing and Contact Sales. The grid says Contact us. At 16:22 America/Vancouver a 1280px window and a 1600px window still printed those words. At 16:22 America/Vancouver a phone-width window still printed Custom pricing and Contact Sales on the card. The comparison grid had no box in that window.

| Data retention | 30 day retention | Zero data retention | Comparison grid. The Enterprise card says “Zero data retention with LLM providers.” This page does not treat the shorter grid words and the longer card words as one sentence. Custom data retention settings are a different row. |
| User provisioning (SCIM) | — | Check mark | Comparison grid. The Enterprise card names the same line. SAML single sign-on is already a check mark on Business. It is not this row. |

| Support past priority | — | Custom | Premium support and Customer success manager are empty on Business. Enterprise prints Custom on both. The Enterprise card names Customer success manager and does not name Premium support. Priority support is already a check mark on Business. |

What the step does not buy
These cells are not a reason to leave Business. They are on the same read, accessed 2026-10-20. The comparison rows were in the visible text at 1044px, 1280px, and 1600px. Both billing controls were checked.

| Limit | Business and Enterprise | Where it is printed |
|---|---|---|
| SAML single sign-on | Check mark | Grid row “SAML single sign-on (SSO).” The Business card already names SAML SSO. Opening a sales conversation does not add it. |
| Teamspaces, permissions, and verify | Check mark | Private teamspaces, advanced teamspace permissions, granular database permissions, and verify any page are a check mark on Business and on Enterprise. The Business card already names those lines. Permission groups and open and closed teamspaces are a check mark on both. |
| Pages, files, and guests | Unlimited · Unlimited guests | Pages and blocks, file uploads, and the external guest limit match. The pricing FAQ says guests are free of charge and can only access the pages they are invited to. Guest invite requests are a different row, and that row is empty on Business. |
| Notion AI rows already on Business | Check mark | Notion Agent, Meeting notes, Enterprise Search, and Research mode are a check mark on both. The Business card names Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search, and it puts a Beta mark on Enterprise Search. The Research mode row name also prints a Beta mark. A trial length: —. |
| Automations | Same as plus | Comparison grid. Enterprise does not print a higher automation cell. Public API, webhooks, and embeds are already a check mark on Business. Connected properties are a check mark on Business and “Same as business” on Enterprise. 1-way database syncs follow that same pattern. |
| Priority support | Check mark | Comparison grid. Premium support is the support row that changes. |
| Export and sign-in checks | Check mark | Export as HTML, Markdown, and CSV, export of the whole workspace as PDF, and 2-step verification are a check mark on Business and on Enterprise. |

| Custom Agents and Workers | Requires Notion credits | Comparison grid. The Enterprise card names Custom Agents. The grid does not move that cell. Workers prints a Beta mark. |
| A member on a paid plan | A fee per member | Pricing FAQ. Enterprise does not make the next member free. A guest stays free of charge and is not a member. |
If you upgrade your workspace to one of the paid plans, you will be charged a fee per member.
Guests are free of charge – but they can only access individual pages they are invited to.
Upgrading your plan: Your account will be upgraded and charged immediately. The amount due will be reduced based on the percentage of the billing cycle left at the time the plan was changed.
That upgrade sentence names a reduced amount. It does not print the reduced dollar. The billing cycle itself is Notion annual vs monthly.
The student FAQ says the Plus plan with a 1-member limit is free for students and educators. That line is not Business and it is not Enterprise.
The same FAQ says accepted payment methods are major credit and debit cards. It does not print an Enterprise invoice line.
Signs a team has outgrown Business
Stay on Business when 90 days of history, SAML SSO, private teamspaces, granular database permissions, verify any page, premium connections, domain verification, priority support, and “Same as plus” on automations cover the work. Enterprise earns the step when one of these is true on the 2026-10-20 read.
- You need a page version older than 90 days. Enterprise prints Unlimited. The 30-day cell is an earlier column.
- Someone has to provision members with SCIM, or you need an audit log or admin content search. Those cells are empty on Business and a check mark on Enterprise. SAML SSO is already a check mark on Business.
- You need organization level controls, granular admin roles, a managed users dashboard, or guest invite requests. Advanced teamspace permissions are already on Business. The advanced workspace and teamspace security controls row is the one that is empty.
- Workspace analytics has to include user level analytics, every page, and search. The FAQ calls that the Enterprise plan. Advanced page analytics, the editors list, is the Business sentence.
- You need Domain Management, or Security and Compliance connections. The Business card already names domain verification and premium connections. Those are not the empty rows. The Enterprise card adds “(DLP, SIEM)” on the compliance line.
- You need zero data retention with LLM providers, custom data retention settings, or deletion of AI Meeting Notes transcripts. Business data retention stays 30 day retention. Meeting notes themselves are already a check mark.
- Premium support or a customer success manager has to be on the plan. Both print Custom on Enterprise and are empty on Business. Priority support is already a check mark. Workspace consolidation also prints Custom.
A second member is still a fee. Unlimited guests is already on Business. Custom database automations do not move: both columns say “Same as plus.” The four-plan map is Notion pricing explained. The step under this one is Notion Plus vs Business.

FAQ
What does Notion Business still cover?
On the Notion pricing page, the Business card is for growing businesses to streamline teamwork. It says everything in Plus, and Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search with a Beta mark, SAML SSO, granular database permissions, verify any page, private teamspaces, domain verification, and premium connections. Business is $20 per seat/month. The grid keeps page history at 90 days, data retention at 30 day retention, and SAML single sign-on, private teamspaces, and priority support as a check mark. User provisioning (SCIM), the audit log, and workspace analytics are empty.
What does Enterprise add?
The Enterprise card, same access date, is for organizations to operate with scalability, control, and security. It says everything in Business, and zero data retention with LLM providers, user provisioning (SCIM), advanced security and controls, an audit log, a customer success manager, Security and Compliance connections (DLP, SIEM), domain management, advanced connections, and Custom Agents. The grid moves page history to Unlimited and data retention to Zero data retention. It adds a check mark for SCIM, the audit log, organization level controls, granular admin roles, workspace analytics, Domain Management, Security and Compliance connections, custom data retention settings, and AI Meeting Notes transcript deletion. Premium support and the customer success manager print Custom. Workspace consolidation prints Custom.
When has a team outgrown Business?
When you need a page version older than 90 days, and Unlimited is the requirement. When someone has to provision members with SCIM, read an audit log, or search admin content. When the workspace needs organization level controls, granular admin roles, a managed users dashboard, or guest invite requests. When workspace analytics has to cover users, every page, and search, not only the editors list on advanced page analytics. When Domain Management, Security and Compliance connections, custom data retention, or deletion of AI Meeting Notes transcripts is the requirement. When premium support or a customer success manager has to be on the plan. A second member is still a paid seat. SAML SSO is already on Business.
Is SAML the reason to leave Business?
No. SAML single sign-on is a check mark on Business and on Enterprise. The Business card already names SAML SSO. Private teamspaces, granular database permissions, verify any page, and priority support are also already a check mark. The row that is empty on Business is User provisioning (SCIM). Domain verification on the Business card is not the Domain Management row. This page does not treat the SAML mark as the step.
What does Notion Business cost?
On the Notion pricing page, Business is $20 per seat/month. Check which billing control shows that price before you pick a cycle. The currency control said Price in USD. Enterprise printed Custom pricing and Contact Sales on the card, and Contact us on the grid. The control label is “Save up to 20% with yearly.”
What is the Enterprise price?
Custom pricing on the card, on Pay yearly and on Pay monthly, at 1044px, 1280px, 1600px, and in a phone-width window. The card says Contact Sales. The grid says Contact us. There is no public per-seat price.
Which prices are not on this page?
Plus and Free prices, the price under each billing control, credit packs, Workers, custom domains, prorated seats, a bill for several members, support, the customer success manager, and workspace consolidation are on the Notion pricing page or with Notion sales, not here. The student FAQ says the Plus plan with a 1-member limit is free for students and educators.
Who is charged, and how do you buy Enterprise?
The pricing FAQ says a paid plan charges a fee per member. Guests are free of charge. Adding a member mid-cycle uses an open paid seat, or creates a prorated charge when no paid seat is open. Removing a member is not a credit. At renewal, monthly or annual, the charge is the plan amount multiplied by the number of members. The Enterprise card says Contact Sales. The grid says Contact us. The same FAQ says accepted payment methods are major credit and debit cards. It does not print an Enterprise invoice line.
Does this page rank Notion against Airtable or Superhuman Docs?
No. The step under this one is Notion Plus vs Business. The four-plan map is Notion pricing explained. The billing cycle is Notion annual vs monthly. A wiki versus a base is Notion vs Airtable. A workspace of pages versus one living doc is Notion vs Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda). A stay-or-leave list is Notion alternatives. This page is only the Business to Enterprise step.
