This page vs the other reads

n8n pricing explained is the four-column map: Starter, Pro, Business, and Enterprise, plus what an execution counts. This page walks one step, Starter against Pro, and stops.

When n8n Cloud is the right pick is whether hosted n8n is the product. This page starts after that yes.

When n8n self-host is worth it is whether you should run the box. This page does not reprint that case.

n8n alternatives is a switch list. This page stays on n8n Cloud.

Tasks vs credits vs executions is the dictionary of three words. This page does not reprint what an execution counts.

When you hit the meter is the ceiling on Zapier, Make, and n8n together. This page does not reprint it.

This page is the Starter vs Pro step. When one shared project is enough. When the Pro card earns the price. The prices quoted here are the annual card prices. Other execution steps: —.

When Starter is enough

Stay on Starter when the work still fits the Starter card. These rows do not change by moving to Pro, or Pro does not name a gap you have, on the 2026-10-07 read.

  • Five concurrent executions are enough. The Starter card prints 5 concurrent executions.
  • 1,600 Assistant credits/month is enough. You do not need admin roles.
  • One day of workflow history is enough, and a 5-minute execution is enough.
  • The card’s 2.5K workflow executions, with unlimited steps, is enough. Users stay unlimited on both cards.

Needing a larger execution step is a different control on the same pricing page. What happens when the allowance runs out is on When you hit the meter.

When Pro earns the step

Pro earns the step when one of these is true on the 2026-10-07 read. A blank stays —.

  • A second shared project is required. Starter prints 1. The Pro card prints 3 shared projects.
  • Five concurrent executions is too few. The Pro card says up to 50 concurrent executions. The comparison table prints 20 / 50. This page quotes both. A resolved count: —.
  • You need 7 days of insights, admin roles, or metric-based evaluations past 1 workflow. The table prints 1 workflow on Starter and Unlimited on Pro.
  • One day of workflow history is too short, a 5-minute run is too short, or 7 days of execution logs is too short. The table prints 5 days of workflow history, 40 minutes, and 30 days of logs on Pro.

When the question is self-host, Business, or Enterprise

This step stops at Pro. Three other questions are on the same pricing page, accessed 2026-10-07. This page names them and does not walk them.

  • You would run the box. The Community Edition card says a standard, self-hosted version of n8n is available on GitHub. It does not print a price. Whether that box is worth owning is When n8n self-host is worth it.
  • You need what the Business card adds over Pro: 6 shared projects, SSO and LDAP, 30 days of insights, multiple environments, queue mode for scaling, and version control using Git. The card says self-hosted only. That step is n8n Pro vs Business, which also covers the execution step on that card.
  • You need the Enterprise card: unlimited shared projects, 200+ concurrent executions, 365 days of insights, and dedicated support with SLA. The button is Contact Sales. The card says a custom number of workflow executions, and hosted by n8n or self-hosted. That step is n8n Business vs Enterprise. A list price: —.

The four columns, what an execution counts, and what the account does at the cap are on n8n pricing explained. Whether hosted n8n is the product is on When n8n Cloud is the right pick.
