This page vs the other reads

Airtable pricing explained is the four-plan map: Free, Team, Business, and Enterprise Scale, plus who is billed. This page walks one step, Free against Team, and stops.

Notion vs Airtable is which object you keep. Airtable vs Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda) is a base versus one living doc. Airtable alternatives is stay or leave. This page starts after Airtable is the product and the plan is the question.

When free isn’t enough — trial, free plan, or first paid plan is the cross-tool cliff: Zapier Free, Make Free, the n8n Cloud trial, and n8n self-host. This page stays on Airtable.

This page is the Free vs Team step. When the free card is enough. When Team’s limits earn the price. Both price lines are quoted. Later-plan dollars: —.

The pricing FAQ says the Free plan is available at no cost for users just getting started, and points teams that need more capacity to Team.

A person with edit permissions on TeamCharged per seatPricing FAQ in the page HTML at 10:18 America/Vancouver. Free users are free. Airtable plans are charged per seat. If you are on Airtable’s Free plan, all users are free. If you are on a Team or Business plan, you will be charged for all users who have edit permissions for at least one base in the workspace. No charges will apply on a Team or Business plan for read-only collaborators, form submissions, or share links. Charges are prorated: users with edit permissions added partway through the month will only be charged for the days after they were added.

If you reach (or are over) our record or attachment limits, you’ll still be able to use your bases and we will never remove your data. We’ll notify you of the overage and you will not be able to add more records or attachments until you upgrade to a new plan. For automations and API limits, you will be capped at the usage limit on your current plan.

Signs a base or team has outgrown Free

Stay on Free when 1,000 records, 1 GB of attachments, 5 editors, 50 commenters, 100 automation runs, 75 automations in a base, 1,000 API calls a month, a 2-week history, and the included views cover the work. Team earns the step when one of these is true on the 2026-10-18 read.

  • A base passes 1,000 records, or attachments pass 1 GB. Team is 50,000 records and 20 GB. The FAQ says you can still use the base, and you cannot add more until you upgrade.
  • A sixth editor needs the workspace, or commenters pass 50. Free is up to 5 editors and 50 commenters. Team prints Unlimited on both rows. The next editor with edit permissions is still a seat.
  • You need a revision or a run older than two weeks. Team is 1-year for revision and snapshot history, and 1-year for run history. 2-year is the next column.
  • Automation runs pass 100 in a month, or one base needs more than 75 automations. Team is 25,000 runs and 100 automations per base. The FAQ says automation use is capped at the plan limit.
  • API calls pass 1,000 in a month. Team is 100,000. Unlimited is the next column. An automation that emails someone who is not a collaborator is also this step: Free is Collaborators only, and Team is 100 external email recipients per day.
  • The base needs synced tables or standard sync. Synced tables are empty on Free and 10 on Team. Standard sync integrations is a check mark on Team.
  • You need Gantt, timeline, extensions, custom branded forms, expanded color and formatting, advanced calendar features, or the permission rows that are empty on Free. Those cells are a check mark on Team.

A second workspace is not on this list. Free and Team both print 1. Two-way sync, premium sync, SAML, and an admin panel are empty on both. The four-plan map is Airtable pricing explained.
